BACKGROUND

 

Khan was born in Louisiana (USA) in 1976 to Asian immigrants. While his mother, Masuda Khan, hailed from India, his father Fakhrul Amin Khan, was from Bangladesh. Khan attended a public school called Grace King High School in Louisiana and mathematics was among his strong areas right from childhood. Academically, he was a bright student with impressive scores and credentials all through. Khan had a few classmates who were fresh out of jail. Khan always grabbed the opportunity to help out those students in the academic subjects as a fellow classmate. His life interest was to use his academic strength for the benefit of others. Going forward, in 1998, Khan joined the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he pursued his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and Computers Science. In 2003, he secured his MBA from the Harvard Business School. In 2002, Khan started his career as an intern at Palo Alto Research Center – a constituent of Xerox – which was followed by a stint with Connective Capital Management which he joined in 2003 as a Hedge Fund Analyst.......
